As an RN working in a hospital setting but away from the bedside for several years, this hands on course was really beneficial for regaining confidence in several fundamental bedside nursing skills. The instructor *** not only provided an excellent review, she provided a relaxed atmosphere which put the class at ease. This is so important, for adult learners especially. It encourages participation and promotes a level of comfort for asking questions. It is evident that she truly loves her work and has a genuine interested is helping nurses not only prepare for returning to a bedside role but for advancing their career to the next level.

I am appreciative and happy for the educational experience, interactive skills review and hands on practice/returned demonstration opportunity received on 01/13/2021 @ Kane educational seminar RN/ LPN refresher program. The instructor provided a safe and comfortable environment for the students. Covid19 precautions were maintained. The nursing instructor took the time to ensure that all the students understood the practice skills discussed. Students who needed more practice were assisted and encouraged not to be afraid to ask questions for clarification. Kane Educational seminar has provided the opportunity for nurse to review clinical skills needed to enhance their knowledge, confidence and proficiency in the health care setting. I highly recommend this program to nurses. Thank You VAL

I have been out of the field now for 13 years and decided to take two courses through Kane. I took both the RN refresher course and the IV certification. The both have helped me immensely, I feel so confident now to enter back into nursing and utilize many of the valuable skills I learned again in these courses. Val is a wealth of knowledge. She creates a very inviting atmosphere for learning and no matter how long its been since you've nursed or how much you've forgotten, she welcomes you wherever you are at. Val has endless experiences in her nearly 50 years of nursing. She stays current with the trends and really prepares her students for entry back into nursing. She answered any questions I had and provided me with extremely valuable tools as I enter back into nursing. I would highly recommend any course through Kane and I do not say that lightly. It will be worth it!

The RN refresher course offered by Kane Educational Seminars was great! I have been a stay at home Mom for the past 15 years and even though I wasn't actively practicing as a nurse I continued to keep my CEU’s and RN license up to date. I recently decided to return back to work part-time and I was looking for an RN refresher course to update my clinical skills. I wasn’t sure if I would feel confident enough in my clinical abilities to return back to nursing after being away for 15 years but I can honestly say that after completing The Kane’s RN refresher course that I am 100% confident in my abilities! The RN instructor was great and she was very thorough and up to date on all of the latest clinical techniques that are being practiced. As we performed our clinical skills the instructor was right there making sure we did our sterile techniques correctly and she made sure that we felt confident in all of the clinical procedures that we practiced throughout the day. The RN refresher course covers everything from the 9 R’s of medication administration, oxygen therapy, trach care, head to toe assessments, gastric feedings, clean vs sterile technique and many other hands on clinical procedures. After taking the course I now feel confident in my clinical skills and I feel prepared to return back to to work as RN in a clinical setting. I would highly recommend the RN refresher course to anyone who would like to update their clinical skills! I also took the Kane’s Educational IV certification course and it was excellent as well!

I took the RN refresher course, IV certification, and Wound Care Courses. I was very impressed with the the instructors, Valerie K*** and Lori who did the Wound Care. There were multiple hands on opportunities, speakers who came to explain wound vac, compression etc... Multiple stations so as to become familiar with everything from IV's, IV pumps, starting IV's, tracheostomy's care, suctioning, central lines, g tubes, catheters, wound vacs, compression etc... I could go on and on because there was so much valuable information. I would recommend this course to new graduate who wants to feel more confident or the older nurse getting back in the work force. Also the Wound Care courses are excellent for any nurse who wants to learn more about wound care. I loved the courses. I feel more confident in my nursing skills because of taking this class. The "hands on" practicing of procedures helps to build confidence for those of us who have not been directly working with skilled patients for a while. I was so pleased and happy I took the RN refresher and the IV certification courses offered by Kane. I can't say enough of positive comments regarding both of the seminars. Val teaches the program like a seasoned RN who is well versed, not only the techniques but also updates the class to all the new changes. She has in her nursing bag, a lot of smart, helpful ideas and tricks of the trade. The class is very comfortable and she makes everyone at ease, no matter their skill level. In addition, she focuses on each student giving them the training and support at their clinical level. I would definitely recommend these seminars to all.

I attended the RN Refresher Course and Intravenous Update and Certification Course in St Augustine this past weekend. I stepped out of nursing for an extended period to be home with my children. These courses definitely helped refresh my skills. Val, our instructor, did a wonderful job teaching us safe and professional nursing care. She is very knowledgeable with 40+ years of nursing experience. This course was more than I expected. We received excellent instruction and hands on practice. Thank you Kane Education Seminars. Absolutely great class! Plenty of time for hands-on skills practice, questions, and discussions. Content was definitely what I needed to be "refreshed" in. It was concise and to the point. And discussing topics not presented in the course outline was always welcome, which I greatly appreciated. :) But above all, the course did so much to boost my confidence in my skills and abilities because of my instructor. I was very fortunate to have Ms. Kane. She's a wonderful nurse and educator, and has so many years of experience working with patients. She was so wonderful to work with for the day.

I attended RN refresher & IV therapy/certification; Val was the instructor who was very knowledgeable because she still works in the clinical field. Besides the content she gives you tips & other nurses share tips. I listed the classes on my resume online & have an interview next week. This is a credible class worth the time & money. I am taking the wound care class also where Val & other professionals will present.

I took the RN refresher and the IV certification courses. They were both great, I feel more secure to start back to nursing again. All the skills that you need to start as a nurse are covered thoroughly. Nurse Val is a great teacher. You can ask all the questions you need to and not have to worry about feeling embarrassed.
